An ambitious Information Center is opened on 26-Aug-2010 in Chitradurga to serve the common people by providing much needed information on all the Government Schemes. Hon'ble Union Minister of State Ms. Agatha Sangma inaugutaed the Center.
The common people, and often the administration & the elected people representatives too, have difficulty in obtaining details on the various government schemes available. It's a common problem. Therefore, Hon'ble Member of Parliament Sri Janardhana Swamy decided to help the public by creating a center purely dedicated to provide information at the center of Chitradurga Parliamentary Constituency. The Information Center will often collect & consolidate the information available from various sources (print, softcopy, web, etc.) and makes it available in a simplified manner to the common public. The District Administration and the Zilla Panchayat were very instrumental in getting it done. Sun Microsystems has donated the needed technology/computing equipments for this Center.
